7 Months

Happy 7 Months Miss Brooklyn!

Here is what you have been up to lately:

• You weigh 16 lbs 5 oz
• You are wearing 6 month clothes.
• You are wearing size 3 diapers.
• For the first time we put you in a highchair at a restaurant! You did really well! Although if we give you a toy you chew on it for only a little while and then throw it on the ground.
• You also rode in the basket at Wal-Mart for the first time. I put the cover over the cart and strapped you in. You seemed to love the new view, but you don't like riding backwards. Pretty much the whole time you try to turn your body to face the other way....HA! You do LOVE going to the store and looking at EVERYTHING! You try to reach for everything too! Tons of people stopped to talk to us and everyone would say what a pretty baby you are :)
• You went on your first airplane trip this month and did great!
• When you get excited about something; a toy, the dog, or when mommy or daddy walk in the room, you kick your legs and shake your arms. We always can tell when you are excited!
• You are LOVING your jumparoo lately! You just jump and jump like crazy!
• Still no pacifier or thumb...I don't think you will take either EVER. It's kinda nice b/c we won't have to take either away :)
• You wake up about once in the night...sometimes twice, but you go right back to sleep which is such a blessing. BUT I am soooo sleepy in the mornings!
• You take 3 naps and usually they are around 1 hr to 2 hrs.
• At the end of the month your two top teeth cut! I took a few last pictures to remember your gummy smile...I bet you are going to look so cute with your front teeth! I was able to really tell you were teething this time around. You got a runny nose, with a little dry cough, and of course chewed on your fingers and everything else in sight!
• You are obsessed with tags. Anything that has a tag gets your attention. No need to buy you toys - just give you a few tags to play with.
• You are one BUSY girl! I say this constantly but you are!
• You started pushing yourself to a sitting position this month
• You stood up all by yourself
• You started crawling!!!!

This is why I now remove her bows when we get in the car.....I didn't take a picture but one day I found her asleep with the band completely over her eyes. Poor thing I had no clue how long it was like that!

Big Day!

Today was the BIG day!!!

Yep...we have a crawling in our house!

All I can say abut this week is CRAZINESS!! Brooklyn had a huge week from sitting, to standing, and now crawling!!! It's been a big week for momma too! I'm so excited for her but she could slow down just a little...hehe!

Congrats sweet Brooklyn on all your new milestones!!!

My little Brooklyn STOOD UP today!

Brooklyn recently learned to sit up on her own and so I decided to video tape it from the monitor. Yes....she was suppose to be napping but since she learned to sit up she plays for alittle while before falling asleep! At least she is not crying HA! Well low and behold she stood up for the first time....it was so neat to catch it on video!!! Guess it's time to lower the crib!

She is really working on crawling! Sometimes she pushing up and then lays down on her side and stretches forward and pushes up again. Sometimes she just gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth. Other times she will do the knee rock but if she sees something she wants she starts to do the "worm" so she can get to it quickly! It is so fascinating to see how a baby goes from not moving at all to crawling....I don't think it will be long before our little B takes off on her hands and knees :)

Florida

Brooklyn took her first flight ever this past week! We went to Tampa, Florida for my 10 year reunion (YES 10 YEARS!!! CRAZY!). We were super excited to see old friends, meet new ones, and of course look around Florida College and reminise about about all the fun times we had! Hard to believe that Brad and I met 9 years ago at this school! Lots has happened since then :)

I was soooo nervous about our little squirmy girl sitting for 2 1/2 hours on the flight. We decided to take her carseat on (maybe she would think we were in the car and she would fall asleep...ha!) and I had a bag packed full of things to keep her occupied (Grammy also hooked her up with a few items as well!).

Then FELL ASLEEP the rest of the way......woo hoo!!!

We arrived in Florida and everyone on the plane just ooed and aahed over her and told us what a good baby she was :)

Brooklyn is NOT a light packer...HA!

One of the highlights of the trip was getting to stay with Aaron and Kristin Thompson and meet their lovely daughter Molly for the first time. Aaron went to school with Brad and I and Kristin was there a year later after I left. Molly was born two days before Brooklyn and from the beginning Kristin and I have been in non stop communication through email about EVERTYHING pertaining to our daughters! We describe each other as long lost best friends and these two precious girls brought us together :) We were so excited to meet their sweet girl and introduce Brooklyn to her new friend!

David and Jamie (she went to FC with us) Baldwin also stayed with the Thompsons and their sweet daughter Millie was just precious! I posted some videos of Millie and Brooklyn. I tried and tired to put a video up of the 3 girls together but it would never work :( I'll keep trying..they are sooo cute!

Park Day!

The second day of the reunion was park day where everyone could bring their kids!

What a bunch!! We enjoyed getting to see two of my BFF's from college, Kayleen and Ashley, and their adorable kids! We attempted a picture; this was the best shot we could get...HAHAHA! What a memory :)

Family picture back on the Florida College Campus....kinda neat to think that the last time Brad and I were here we were just dating...now we are a little family :)
